Answer:
No.  The WLDP grants were established specifically to provide strong, ongoing support to national women’s non-government organisations (NGOs), which are the Office for Women’s (OfW’s) primary stakeholders.  Only national women’s NGOs are eligible to apply for funding through the 2007-08 WLDP Grants.  For a definition of a national women’s NGO, please refer to the 2007-08 WLDP Application Guidelines Section 2.1.

Question:

  2. Do we have to form a Consortium, as indicated in the 2007-08 WLDP Application Guidelines Section 2.1 to be eligible to apply?

Answer:

(b) As a state-based NGO / women’s NGO, your organisation does not meet the eligibility criteria for the 2007-08 WLDP Grants and would therefore not be eligible to form a Consortium.  Only national women’s NGOs that meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the 2007-08 WLDP Application Guidelines Section 2.1 may submit an application for funding as a Consortium.

No.  Each member of the consortium must meet the eligibility criteria for a national women’s NGO as outlined in the 2007-08 WLDP Application Guidelines Section 2.1. Organisations that do not meet this eligibility criteria may approach a national women’s NGO that does meet the eligibility criteria to auspice the project.  If the application is successful, the auspicing organisation signs and is legally responsible to ensure compliance with the Funding Agreement.
